Perma Play 2-Layer System for Carter & Carter Construction

Carter & Carter Construction hired us to install a playground at Greenhouse Apartments. The new surface area installed was 2,090 square feet in Houston. Not all our surface areas are for children. We install rubber surfaces anywhere: outdoor or indoor. While we did install a surface area at their children’s play area, there was an outdoor gym surface to install. Everyone should have a chance to play or in this case work out like a champ! Taking advantage of Houston’s sunny weather allowed for this outdoor gym experience and we were happy to install our superior Perma Play 2-Layer System which is a poured in place rubber EPDM material in an equal mixture of black and beige standard color mix.

Additionally, we added a brown border to enhance the look of this impressive gym area. Under this great looking surface is a bottom black layer of 100 percent recycled tire rubber called buffings which provides the safety depth needed. The total depth of the surface is at three inches. We had a team of eight playground laborers working diligently completing the work in just five days! Through the important planning phase, they decided to have us install a sub-base of four inches in depth as well. The sub-base is a rocky material under the rubber playground which helps to drain and protect the surface integrity. We offer warranties on all our work. We believe in standing behind everything we do and will correct it at all costs. Our reputation is very important to us.

Dallas

Playground Perma Play 2-Layer System for Ventana MPS Apartments

Ventana MPS Apartments in Dallas hired us to provide installation of a contemporary 750 square feet poured in place rubber at this children’s play area playground. They selected our high-end Perma Play 2-Layer System play surface which is safe and fun for everyone. We have multiple color options. Their choice was a mixture of Signal Green (yes, like the street light) and black. This top wear coarse coat consists of virgin EPDM rubber in many color options. EPDM stands for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer. We use only virgin EPDM rubber for the top layer because it’s non-toxic and safe.

Once our crew mixes 50 percent of each color, they carefully apply it to the base coat which is the bottom layer. This layer consists of 100 percent recycled tire rubber called buffings. This rubber material provides the safety depth needed for the children’s play area. We had a team of only four fully trained rubber surfacing laborers to complete this project. They used a mortar mixer to mix the rubber granules and adhesive to get the desired look. This Perma Play surface for their children’s play area only took three days to complete and was installed on top of the existing concrete patio and edges were rolled down for a smooth transition. The children at Ventana MPS Apartments now enjoy a smooth, fun and boo-boo free rubber play surface.

Laredo

Playground Perma Play 2-Layer System for Laredo Housing Authority

Laredo Housing Authority hired us to design and build a functional playground rubber surface at 1,300 square feet. They selected our high-end Perma Play 2-Layer System poured in place rubber in our most popular standard color mixture 50 percent each of black and blue. The effect is a nice deep royal blue look that matches their brand. Our standard color mixes come in four choices: red/black, green/black, beige/black and blue/black. These color options keep the costs in check without sacrificing aesthetics. But color on surfaces are only limited by imagination.

We can supply quality indoor and outdoor rubber flooring and our playground crews are artists, too. They can take the most intricate design and make a master piece right on the spot. While this playground didn’t have graphics, it does have a smooth and fun surface to play on. This playground will be safely enjoyed for years to come. The rubber surface is at three inches in depth because of the critical fall height. This is determined by measuring the equipment platform to the ground. Our products meet or exceed requirements set forth in the Consumer Product Safety Commission handbook and are always ADA compliant. Also, we are IPEMA certified and offer surface testing with full reports. Testing can be complete as soon as the playground sets up. The set-up time usually takes 48 – 72 hours. Once the testing is complete, the results are tabulated into a PDF report and emailed. We strive to be efficient in all we do.
